When you walk into the new barn at Miltrim Farms, the first thing you notice is how quiet and calm it is. For the largest automated dairy in Wisconsin, that’s speaks volumes. The free-flow design of the facility has elevated cow comfort and improved how the herd moves through the space.

Miltrim Farms, Inc. began in 1988 with just 40 cows. Since then, the operation has expanded significantly and now includes more than 2,500 cows and 4,800 acres of cropland. Always looking ahead, owner Tom Mueller and his nephew, general manager David Trimner, recognized the need for a new facility built around an innovative design.
